Lesson Plans for April 24-28, 2017

Students will analyze college and career opportunities:

  • explore opportunities for earning college credit in high school
  • develop an awareness of financial aid, scholarships, and other sources of income to support post-secondary education
  • discuss the impact of effective college and career planning
  • identify how performance on assessments such as the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, and ACCUPLACER impact personal academic and career goals

 

Lesson Plans for April 10-14, 2017

Monday-

Topics:  Project presentations

Activities:  We will discuss the requirements of presenting student career projects to the class.  Students will then draw for order of presenting and days to present will be assigned.  Students will be made aware that presenting project to the class will count as one test grade.

Tuesday-

Activities:  Students will be given time to prepare for presentations.  Students will be given notecards that they can write notes on and will be given an opportunity to practice with projector and remote to advance through slides.

Wednesday-

Topics:  Career presentations

Activities:  First round of career presentations (students who drew 1-5)

Thursday-

Activities:  Second round of career presentations (Students who drew 6-10)

Friday-

HOLIDAY!!

Lesson Plans for April 3-7, 2017

Monday-Friday-

Topics: Career project

Activities:  Discuss the criteria to be included in the Career PowerPoint project.  Students will then begin work on projects using their computer and completed research from last week.  Completed projects will be due at the end of class, Friday, April 7th.  Completed project will count as two daily grades and two test grades.
