Monday-

Topics:  Overview of 16 career clusters; Agriculture and Natural Resources cluster

Activities:  Students will begin investigations of the 16 career clusters recognized by the Department of Education.  Students will watch an overview video of the Agriculture and Natural Resources cluster at http://www.careeronestop.org/Videos/CareerandClusterVideos/career-and-cluster-videos.aspx.  They will then choose 2 jobs of interest that fall into that cluster, watch videos over, then summarize the information that they learned.  Will share what learned with class at the end of the period.

About Career Investigations; getting to know you activities

Tuesday-

Discuss class procedures, acceptable use policies, school supplies, etc.

Homework:  get receipt of class procedures signed by parents and have parent subscribe to Career Investigations blog by Friday, August 26 (daily grade).  Also, work on getting school supplies by Tuesday, August 30.

Wednesday-

Blog basics and e-portfolios

Thursday-

Review blog basics then have students go through the blog basics checklist.  Students to finish their About me page then make a new post about their first week of school.

Friday-

Introduction to Career Cruising program;  make sure that all students have access; brief overview of program
